One week into Kelly Rae's e-course and I have a whole stack of information. Kelly warned us. But she also said we don't have to do it all at once. That's the beauty of this class. We have the information and we can get to it/ experiment with it at our own pace. Working full time leaves me a little anxious about the whole thing, but if I can just remember that I am aloud to pace myself, all will be good.
Today I felt really good about  a few things that I tried.  I made a few reply comments to some fellow students, I set up a RSS feed on my blog (still have to figure out what it actually is) thanks to one of the classmates who let everyone know how to do it and I took Kelly's advice and tried a web site she recommended to edit your pictures. The picture I used was a pencil drawing of my mother when she was about 20 years old. She just turned 80 this year and is still as beautiful as she was then. .
Love you Mom.....................

  1. what a lovely tribute to your mother-well done. From a fellow flyer, Robin

  2. thank you robin
    fellow flyer....cute

  3. Hi Carol, I am stopping by for a visit from Kelly Rae's Flying Lessons. Lovely drawing of your mother. I'm in the "second half" too. I'd trade wisdom for beauty any day! Ha! xoxo Valerie

  4. What a beautiful picture of your Mum! And well done on the RSS feed - I am a dunce when it comes to these things.

  5. Hi Carol~

Your RSS feed looks fantastic! Nothing else for you to do, that's what's so cool!! It's for anyone who wants to follow you without signing up with Goggle. I have friends who do it this way. Look at it as another way for folks to "subscribe" to your blog.

Crazy web world and I don't put much into it because it would drive me mad! We have art to make. And beautiful pictures of your mom to share :)

  6. Love the look of your blog- It's a fabulous start! Yay!

  7. Hi Carol, awesome drawing of your mother. You are lucky to still have her. I am in my 50's also and lost my mother 13 years ago. You are so right about taking things at your own pace. It feels a little hectic out there, like everyone is jumping head-first into everything, but I don't feel the need to rush. I am only going to do what feels right for me - I'm guessing you are the same. Nice job on your blog!

  8. Hello from flying lessons....Noticed you like 101 cookbooks. I've been a big fan of that blog for a while. :)

  9. i love your blog. it's beautiful.

flying lessons is a ride isn't it!? i'm so excited about what we are learning.

like you i get overwhelmed at times, then remember that i can pace myself. i get so hung up on finishing things as i read. i have to pace myself...

  10. hello- i feel like i wish this info was spread out over more time. i feel like i'm not keeping up as well as i should. glad you tried some stuff and had success! yay for you- i gotta see about the photo editing- i jotted that down as something i wanted to look into later tonight so it's cool that you mentioned it!

your blog looks very cute! so glad i found it-
